A little insight
7.15.2011
Sometimes we find ourselves at a momentary crossroads. Ever felt that feeling? Surreal is what it is. Like when there are a literal set of doors in front of you and you know your life is going to change, in one way or another, if you go inside. Or maybe it’s when you have a long email typed out that you’re hesitant to send. Or when you know you have to tell somebody something that you have dreaded.
I’m tempted to say that these moments are the gamechangers. When our lives change, most of the time we can boil it down to a few crucial minutes, or maybe even a split second. Smaller scale dictates larger scale.
These are the moments when we know ourselves best.
Because when we make the decision to grab the handle, press “Send,” or just say it, our motivations are truthful. Deep hopes are apparent. We know if we’re strong enough and we’re honest with ourselves if we contemplate our intentions for a few minutes. I’m sitting here in my car and I’m about to go grab the handle. Because of that, I am gravely aware and willing to walk into what I’m going to walk into.
It’s metaphorical and literal. I know what it will mean and I’m doing it anyways.
Wish me luck.

This couldn’t have been more true.
