To humble myself

If you’re a type A in this world, you’re set up for disappointment. Because, as the famed, round insect John Lennon so crisply put it: “Life happens when you’re busy making other plans.” I know I’ve touched on this topic before. But I still continue to plan and plan and plan and plan.

I can’t seem to get it through my head.

You know the feeling. When you find yourself somewhere and you know it has to be for a reason. When you find yourself somewhere that you didn’t account for in your iCalendar. When you find yourself somewhere you never thought you’d end up.

It is He who crosses your path with specific others. It is He who drops you, head bowed on all fours bleeding, to make you get up. It is He who graces you with the opportunity to triumph. And fail. And succeed.

Who am I to try and deconstruct and reassemble the most divine of algorithms?
